The 13 Steps

13 steps to my first S$1,000,000.

And the version of it that does not cost you your family, energy or freedom.

Read This First

Earlier this year I crossed S$1,000,000 collected.

It took about five years from quitting my job in 2020, with plenty of mistakes and one night I nearly quit completely. This is the exact path I would walk if I started again from scratch, knowing what I know now.

It was never one more strategy. It was the order.

1
Step 1 · Inner Game First

Winning outside, breaking inside.

March 1, 2024. Another S$50K month on paper, and that night I cried in the bedroom and quietly prepared my resume. My strategy was fine. My order was wrong. Purpose, priorities and psychology come before strategies, AI systems or more courses.

Most people skip this step because it doesn't look like work, then wonder why the next twelve never stick.

2
Step 2 · What You're Great At

You did not start world-class. You started willing.

Know what you are great at and genuinely enjoy, then keep sharpening it. That is the whole step, and almost nobody does it honestly.

3
Step 3 · First 5 Clients

Help people until five of them have paid you.

Cheap is fine at this stage. Momentum comes first, and the perfect offer can wait.

4
Step 4 · Go To Them

Offline beats online when you are starting out.

Join the communities and events where your ideal clients already gather, and talk about what you do naturally. Your first clients come from rooms, not from a content machine you do not have yet.

5
Step 5 · Who You Serve

Serve an earlier version of you who can pay.

Pick someone you genuinely like helping. When you know them better than they know themselves, your content and your offers start writing themselves.

6
Step 6 · 1-to-1 Before Any Course

Sell hands-on 1-to-1 before any course.

S$100S$6KSessions became programs, 2021

End of 2020, still employed, I put S$30K of my savings into a mentor's program. In 2021 my S$100 sessions became S$6K programs, and six figures arrived in about six months. 1-to-1 pays better, and it teaches you faster.

Bet on guidance before you feel ready.

7
Step 7 · The Daily 3

Serve clients, create content and have real conversations.

Every single day

I still run the business on this rhythm today. It is how you keep growing no matter what season of life you are in.

8
Step 8 · One Presentation

Build one presentation that does the selling.

Your story, your framework and your offer, combined into one talk that sells for you. Build it once, and it works every time you speak.

9
Step 9 · Take It To Them

Present it anywhere your ideal clients gather.

Free at first · Paid once it converts

One talk can bring in multiple clients at once.

10
Step 10 · When 1-to-1 Fills

Never open a group program built on hope.

Only when your 1-to-1 spots are full do you raise your prices and open a group program, because demand always comes first.

11
Step 11 · Attraction Assets

Turn client work into assets that invite calls.

Repurpose what you already do with clients into digital courses, e-books and AI tools. Every asset does the same job. It invites the right people to a 1-to-1 call.

12
Step 12 · Buy Back Your Time

Protect the work only you can do.

Automate, delegate and hire, so your hours go to the work you are best at and actually enjoy. This is what keeps the 20-hour weeks real.

13
Step 13 · The Loop

Fix the next real bottleneck, then repeat.

The next real bottleneck is rarely whatever is trending. One entrepreneur went from about 2,400 views to over 660,000 views in a month once the inner game work landed. Another hit his monthly goal of 5 new clients in his first week, including one S$18,000 package.

The path reads simple because it is.
